Last Friday we took our first DIBEL's Reading Test. Once I receive your child's assessment results, I base my reading groups and Title 1 Support on this assessment! Later this week we will take our Delta Math Assessment. We use this data to inform our instruction in math as well as set up Math Title 1 for students who need that "extra" boost! On Tuesday we will have Mrs. Burzynski, our school Counselor, visit our class to share about her job here at Wacousta. She will then meet with our class every 3 weeks to do social skill lessons with us! This week in First Grade we will be starting our Everyday Math and Journeys Curriculum! Also, we will be DIBEL's Assessing on Friday, September 17th and Monday, September 20th. I will begin assessing students in their reading levels as well as letter ID and sound. This will help me assign students to reading groups in the next two weeks! TUESDAY, September 14th is PICTURE DAY.
